About the Role 
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Odoo ERP Consultant to join our team for an initial 6-month term, with the potential for extension. In this role, you will be responsible for helping clients optimize their business processes by implementing and customizing Odoo ERP solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, configure Odoo modules, and ensure seamless integration of the ERP system into their operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and customization of Odoo ERP systems based on client business requirements.
  • Analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend Odoo modules that fit client needs.
  • Install, configure, and customize ERP modules (e.g., Sales, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR) to align with client workflows.
  • Manage data migration, ensuring accuracy and integrity during the transfer process.
  • Develop specifications and collaborate with developers on customizations.
  • Integrate Odoo ERP with third-party applications and external systems (e.g., payment gateways, e-commerce platforms) for seamless data flow.
  • Ensure integration is smooth, reliable, and supports business continuity.
  • Provide end-user training on Odoo system functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer ongoing support post-implementation, addressing client issues or questions.
  • Prepare user manuals, training materials, and documentation tailored to client needs.
  • Conduct thorough system testing (unit, integration, user acceptance) to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and addressing concerns throughout implementation.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships, helping clients maximize the value of their Odoo investment.
  • Develop or modify Odoo modules to meet unique business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to create and deploy new features as per client specifications.
  • Analyze client business processes and provide recommendations to streamline operations using Odoo.
  • Advise on best practices for process automation, reporting, and analytics within Odoo.
  • Participate in project planning and tracking to ensure timely delivery within scope.
  • Maintain documentation on client requirements, configurations, and project milestones.
  • Keep up to date with Odoo releases and features, advising clients on system upgrades and new functionalities.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is highly skilled and proactive with a strong technical background and a client-focused approach. They should have experience in implementing, configuring, and customizing Odoo ERP solutions, and be comfortable working directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. The candidate should be an excellent communicator, able to manage client relationships, provide training and support, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. A strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage projects and timelines effectively are key to success in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Odoo ERP implementation, configuration, and customization.
  • Proven track record of client-facing roles, including gathering business requirements and delivering tailored ERP solutions.
  • Experience managing end-to-end ERP projects, including data migration, system integration, and post-implementation support.
Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of Odoo ERP modules, with the ability to configure and customize them based on client needs.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Odoo ERP configuration and customization using built-in tools.
  • Experience with data import/export and ensuring compatibility between legacy systems and Odoo.
  • Familiarity with ERP testing (unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing) to ensure system functionality and performance.
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or other scripting languages for system customizations and reporting.
  • Comfortable with cloud-based Odoo deployments and integrations.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze client needs and propose effective ERP solutions.
  • Project management skills, with experience managing timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
